Tomorrow morning I will leave for a 3-day conference in Tokyo.

I could stand to be more excited about it, but I just don�t want to make the effort. I truly hate being forced into these kinds of social situations: a few hundred young adults, a few of which are known somewhat personally, all staying in one big hotel and attending workshops which we usually leave just as un-informed as we were when we first entered.

A fellow JET program participant recently got busted for having a private student.

I suppose I should get down from my high horse and feel some sympathy, but the view is just so good from up here.

    Some wee little performers that participated in Ogaki's recent festival.

    While they are interesting to look at at times, I'm not an advocate of painting up little girls. . .or women in general. Ladies, let's not put so much crap on our faces, k? We're not clowns.
